As part of the membership of the Caldas da Rainha to the Network of Creative Cities of UNESCO, of which it has been part since November 2019, the Municipality of Caldas da Rainha received, as all about 300 cities from around the world that integrate there, the invitation to participate in the Annual Conference of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) held in Santos (Brazil), between 18 and 22 July 2022.

Caldas da Rainha was represented by the Councilwoman of Culture, Dra. Conceição Henriques, who made an intervention on the territory and on prospective plans of Caldas da Rainha within the framework of his membership in the network of creative cities UNESCO and Focal Point, Dr. José Antunes, Head of the Culture Unit. In addition to the Conference, there was also the so-called Mayors Forum, which was intended for the participation of the Mayors (or their representatives)of experiences and awareness of what are the best practices in public policies where creativity is the engine of transformation and revitalization of urban space.
