The exhibition focused on collaborations between artists and the ceramic industry rehearsed in the 1950s and 1960s in Caldas da Rainha. The examples presented reported to SECLA, a faience factory that was active between 1945 and 2008. A representative, but not exhaustive, sample of the authors involved in these collaborations and the resulting works was chosen.
This exhibition was conceived and organized under the curricular unit Oficina de Mediação Cultural II, of the 1st year of the degree in Programming and Cultural Production, guided by Prof. Lígia Afonso, from the research of Prof. João B. Serra. It is part of the research project “CP2S Ceramics, heritage and sustainable product – from education to industry” (CENTRO-01-0145-FEDER-23517) and is covered by Molda 2018 programme.
