The new Caldas da Rainha Ceramic Ecopoint is already in operation, a project for collection and subsequent treatment of waste generated in the workshops and potteries of the creators in the area of ceramics, within the scope of Caldas da Rainha Unesco. This project seeks to address the concern expressed in the consultation made to these creators in 2018, about what were the biggest obstacles that their activity faced, and what were the effects they considered most harmful for environmental sustainability.

After a survey has been carried out on creators, seeking detailed information on the type of waste that was produced and quantities, now begins the first phase of this project, creating the collection and routing device for recycling of ceramic waste produced in workshops. In the following months, through the information collected in the use of the Ceramic Ecopoint, the necessary adjustments will be made for an efficient operation.

The Ceramic Ecopoint, operates from Monday to Friday, with hours from 9 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 16 and is located in the Municipal Shipyards of Caldas da Rainha in Rua da Matel.
