On February 6, 2017, at Espaço Concas museum at the Arts Center, the Catalogs of the exhibitions “Animals in Caldas da Rainha Ceramics” were launched and presented. “Collection of João Maria Ferreira” and “Molde. An industrial collection of Molde Faianças” and the book “Caldas Ceramics at XX Century. A Chronology”

The presentation was in charge of the Mayor, Dr. Tinta Ferreira, the Culture Councilwoman, Maria da Conceição Pereira, the Commissioner of the Caldas da Rainha Ceramic City Project, Prof. João B. Serra, the President of the Historical Heritage Association PH – group of Studies, Dr. Isabel Xavier and the curator of the exhibition Animais na Cerâmica Caldense, Dra. Margarida Elias.

Catalog resulting from the exhibition at the Ceramics Museum, which can still be seen until February 28.

The exhibition was curated by Margarida Elias and presents an emblematic component of the João Maria Ferreira ceramic collection, notable ceramic collector. There are more than 100 pieces of the most important authors of national projection such as Manuel Mafra, José Alves Cunha, José Francisco de Sousa, Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro, Avelino Belo, Hansi Staël and José Aurélio, among many others.
