“The hammer sings and dances before rising” is the new project by Paulo Vicente, a musician with over two decades of career cemented in a tireless exploration of sound between jazz and the most ethereal explorations of “ambient”. Inspired by the movements and noises of the cutlers at Paulo Tuna’s workshop in Caldas da Rainha, this is an admirable work that unites the real and the imaginary, the natural and the supernatural.
This work is the culmination of a triptych dedicated to the City of Caldas da Rainha that began in 2020 with the album “West” inspired by the city’s Park and Forest and the surrounding beaches. In 2022, he produced the second work “Céramique Électronique” inspired by the signature ceramics of Miguel Neto’s 19b studio.
He is now presenting his latest project on March 28th, at 7 pm, in the Jardim do Centro de Artes, as part of the program of the Domar o Fogo event.
