On 20, 21 and 22 of June, MESTRA – Caldas da Rainha Ceramics Market Exhibition took place in D. Carlos I Park.
50 ceramists from Caldas da Rainha, Alcobaça, Leiria, Aveiro, Covilhã, Porto de Mós, Tomar, Barcelos and Estremoz – municipalities that are part of the Portuguese Association of Ceramic Towns and Villages (AptCVC) – took part in the exhibition.
The collective exhibition “Rainha Mestra” was inaugurated, a collaborative installation that brings together tiles created by the participating ceramists, in honour of the 500th anniversary of Queen Dona Leonor’s legacy.
There were also creative experiments, concerts and talks.
It was three days rich in experiences, with thousands of visitors, in a true demonstration of the diversity of Portuguese ceramics.
