Alice Albergaria Borges was born in Lisbon in 1997, having grown up in São Miguel (Azores). In 2011 she moved to Lisbon, where she studied Artistic Textile Production at the Escola Artística António Arroio (Lisbon) and in 2018 she graduated in Textile Design from Chelsea College of Arts (University of the Arts London). 

She specialises in hand weaving, crochet and natural dyeing and works mainly on commissioned useful textile objects. 

Interested in the intangible dimension of textiles, issues related to heritage and sustainability, Alice has been involved in projects of various kinds, mainly related to education, knowledge sharing and intangible textile heritage.
