The exhibition Cerâmica XL, a project by the group ‘Convergências’, will open on 28 March at 5 pm at Espaço da Concas of the Arts Centre. It features 10 large-scale ceramic sculptures using traditional techniques, promoting the integration of traditional knowledge into contemporary production. The pieces are the result of an artistic residency that took place between April and October 2024.
The exhibition of the pieces is accompanied by a display of images collected by photographer Ana Filipa Scarpa, who followed the process of making each piece.
This is a project funded by DGArtes and features the artists Carlos Ribeiro, Diogo Rosa, Elsa Gonçalvez, Fernando Sarmento, Izilda Gallo, Maya Fernandes Kempe, Sandra Borges, Stefania Barale, Virgínia Fróis and Heitor Figueiredo. It will be on display until 12 May.
