An international opportunity for ceramic artists is now open for 2026 through the A.I.R. Vallauris residency programme, based in the historic town of Vallauris in the south of France, renowned for its tradition in ceramics.
Since 2001, A.I.R. Vallauris has hosted over 500 international artists, offering accommodation and studio space where residents can meet local artists, explore their practice and develop new work in a unique creative environment.
The residencies are supported by the European Culture Moves Europe programme and are open to artists legally residing in one of the 40 eligible countries (EU Member States and partner countries such as Norway, Iceland and Ukraine, amongst others). They can apply for individual mobility funding to take part in the residencies in 2026; the grant includes a daily allowance and travel support, which artists can use to cover the costs of the residency and living expenses.
The following sessions are eligible for funding:
Standard Residency (daily allowance and travel expenses)
- Session 5: 1 September – 2 October 2026
- Session 6: 27 October – 27 November 2026
Application deadline: 31 March 2026
