Bárbara Miranda Ramos was born in Viana do Castelo in 1998. She graduated in Fine Arts from ESAD.CR, where she began her ceramics project. At the end of her degree, she sought out ceramicists in Caldas da Rainha with whom she could work and deepen her knowledge. Today, she is part of a collective of artists based at Studio Cê, united by a shared interest in ceramics and glass.
In her work, she focuses on intuition in gesture and on the process of deconstructing forms. She seeks to establish a relationship between matter and the intimate, the organic and the oneiric. Fascinated by the potter’s wheel and the constellation of concepts that surround it, she has dedicated her time to creating pieces associated with this tool.
