Sofia Venâncio was born in Lisbon in 1994.

She graduated in Industrial Design (2015) at ESAD, in Caldas da Rainha, and then took a specialization in Ceramics (2016) at Ar.co – Art and Visual Communication Center, in Almada, where she later worked as an assistant. In 2018 she returned to the School of Arts and Design of Caldas da Rainha, to obtain the master’s degree in Product Design.

She works with various raw materials, from wood to glass, but ceramics, inexhaustible source of creation, has always been her material of choice – for its plasticity, processes and constant challenge.
